The hanky code kept gay and queer folks safe in a time when being out was anything but. Different bandanna colors signaled different kinds of sex so everyone could find what they were looking for. The Candle Code builds on that foundation and has developed a line of candle fragrances based on each hanky code color, bringing the theory of flagging to a new set of senses.
